A31 Housing development

Bruce Powell of the A31 Alliance which represents all communities along the A31 between Bentley and Ropley came to the Froyle Parish Council (FPC) meeting on Monday and gave a presentation EHDC’s Local Plan re development of the A31 corridor.
Over 30 residents attended the meeting and many others have asked about the two proposed developments in Froyle and whether these can be objected to. Some of the questions about how, when and whether these developments can progress are addressed in Bruce’s presentation.
This presentation was previously given by Bruce Powell (who is a Bentley resident) to Bentley Parish Council who have arranged a public meeting on 11th December to discuss. FPC is trying to identify a date for a similar public meeting in Froyle and the details of this will be advised when known. The FPC will also be developing its response to EHDC re this process.
If you are concerned about major housing developments in Froyle and along the A31 corridor this issue is important and requires your attention.

Parish Council Vacancies

A vacancy exists on the Parish Council following recent resignations. The Parish Council is keen to ensure that all members of the Froyle Community are represented and would welcome residents who represent all age groups and interests in the village to put themselves forward in particular younger members of our community so that their views on how the village needs to develop for the next generation are heard. If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor or working with the Parish Council on projects such as the Recreation ground facilities upgrade please contact clerk@froyleparishcouncil.org.uk
